What is the purpose of TPU modification?

TPU materials will be very different after modification. Depending on the initial raw material, the characteristics of TPUs may vary greatly. Most TPUs were compared according to many types of polymer diols or polyhydroxy compounds (soft parts) used to manufacture urethane polymers. These products can be linked to polyhydroxy compounds based on esters, ethers and carbonates, and can have different molecular weights and structures. From these different materials, various degrees of flexibility, hydrolysis resistance, fuel / oil resistance and various other characteristics can be obtained. Of course, modifying TPU to obtain modified TPU is also a good way to obtain TPU materials with different types of functions.
